I finally got round to developing and scanning the pictures from the other week (or couple of weeks ago) after the great Devon earthquake. Needless to say the “remembered viewfinder images” didn’t quite match up to the developed, washed, scanned and cleaned up images you see here, but there’s a couple of good ones. Apologies for the big gap in posting, I’ve been busy with fish stuff, but will post more soon. Maybe even a non- bird related post or […]
Birds and especially seagulls seem to be a leitmotif in my work these days. I’m not remotely interested in wildlife photography per se, I’m just happy to document their inherent “birdiness” instead. This one and the one below on the holga and the bottom on on the mamiya 7ii, all with Portra.
I guess everything has it’s flipside, the not so good with the good, the downs and the ups. It could be a lot worse I know that. We’re lucky, we have our health and we are doing what we want, where we want. We don’t overindulge too much, and we try to keep balanced with most things. Bloody seagulls: I’d just cleaned the windows, settled down to watch the sea and boom! Classy though, arts and craft shit.
